Once completed, it will be used mostly for football matches. The main tenant of the stadium will be Ala'ab Damanhour. The stadium will have a capacity of 60,000 people, all-seated. After the Egyptian failure to host the world cup 2010, the construction and building of this stadium was completely halted.
