The Electoral district of Badcoe is a single-member electorate for the South Australian House of Assembly. It was created by the redistribution conducted in 2016, and will be contested for the first time at the 2018 state election.[2]

Badcoe is named after Peter John Badcoe VC (1934–1967) who grew up in Adelaide before joining the Australian Army in 1952. He served in artillery and infantry and was killed in the Vietnam War. It replaced the electoral district of Ashford.[2]

Geography

At its creation, Badcoe contained the suburbs of Ascot Park, Ashford, Black Forest, Clarence Gardens, Clarence Park, Edwardstown, Everard Park, Forestville, Glandore, Kurralta Park, Keswick, part of Millswood, North Plympton, part of Plympton and South Plympton.[3]
