Epoxomicin is a naturally occurring selective proteasome inhibitor with anti-inflammatory activity.^[2] It was originally discovered in 1992.^[3] Injected, it can induce Parkinson's-like symptoms in rats.

Derivatives of epoxomicin include carfilzomib.
