On the night of 7 April 1998, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patrick_Corporation" class="extiw" title="w:Patrick Corporation">Patrick Stevedores</a> boss Chris Corrigan sacked his entire workforce and started one of the first serious challenges by a corporation to trade union power in Australia. The ABC's 7.30 report captured dramatic footage of the workforce picketing wharves during the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1998_Australian_waterfront_dispute" class="extiw" title="w:1998 Australian waterfront dispute">waterfront dispute</a>. 7.30 Report: 'Federal Wharves' first broadcast on 21.4.1998 featuring ABC presenter David Hardaker.
