Frederic L. Chapin

Frederic Lincoln Chapin (13 July 1929 – 8 September 1989) was a United States diplomat. He was the ambassador to Ethiopia and Guatemala.[1] He was also the United States Ambassador to Chad ad interim from January 1961 to May 1961, preceded by W. Wendell Blancke and succeeded by John A. Calhoun.[2] He was the son of Selden Chapin, United States ambassador to the Netherlands, Peru and Iran.
