Ganapavaram is a town & Major Panchayat and a mandal in West Godavari district in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India. This land is well known for agriculture and aqua culture farming. The major economy of this village is based on this two occupations. It has an historic remembrance with Mahatma Gandhi.

History

The Village was ruled by kakatiyas King Ganapathi Deva Rayalu. His wives were named Sirivalli and Bhuvanavalli. Thus, The town of Ganapavaram, Bhuvanapalli and Saripalle are named after them. It is believed that a tunnel was built under the town by the king for protection of him and his family from Enemies
