Greater Manchester bus route 41 operates in Greater Manchester between Eccles Interchange and Sale station via Manchester city centre. Some evening journeys are extended to Altrincham Interchange. All journeys are operated by First Greater Manchester except for one school days only service between Withington and Sale Grammar School that is operated by Go Goodwins.[1]

Route 41 runs between Manchester Piccadilly bus station and Altrincham Interchange at evenings after route X41 finishes. These departures are subsidised by the Transport for Greater Manchester.[2]

History

Route 41 was previously operated by Finglands Coachways and Stagecoach Manchester between Manchester Piccadilly bus station and Sale station. Following the sale of the Finglands business to First Greater Manchester on 9 February 2014,[3][4][5] route 41 was extended to become a cross city service from Eccles Interchange under the Cross Connect banner on 1 September 2014.[6][7]
