Gustave de Lamarzelle (4 August 1852 – 16 March 1929) was a French politician, writer and academic.

Biography

Gustave de Lamarzelle was born in Vannes. He was deputy of Morbihan from 1885 to 1893 and then senator of Morbihan from 1894 to 1924. Lamarzelle sat on the right, among the conservatives.

A Boulangiste, he was an ardent defender of free education. He was also a lawyer, a professor at the Faculty of Law of the Catholic Institute and president of the Conférence Molé-Tocqueville and the Conférence Olivaint.
