HD 93083 is an 8th magnitude star located approximately 91 light years[1] away in the southern constellation of Antlia. It is an orange dwarf (spectral class K2V), somewhat cooler and less luminous than our Sun.[2]

Planetary system

In 2005, the discovery of a planet orbiting the star was announced. This is another discovery using the radial velocity method with the HARPS spectrograph.[3]
