Head to the Sky is the 4th studio album by Earth, Wind & Fire, released in 1973. Their second album on Columbia Records, Head to the Sky was EWF's first commercially successful album and it has been certified platinum in the United States for sales of over a million copies by the RIAA.[1][4]
Reception
Erykah Badu paid tribute to the album in the music video of her single "Honey".[5] "Evil" was sampled by Amerie on the track "Can We Go" on her 2005 album Touch. "Keep Your Head to the Sky" was sampled by Jay-Z on the 1994 track "Reach The Top", and also by Kirk Franklin on the track "Keep Your Head" from his album Hero.[6]
