Honey, I Shrunk the Kids: Movie Set Adventure is a playground at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida. It is located in the Streets of America area and is based on the 1989 film, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. The playground, which opened almost a year after the film, features 30-foot-tall (9.1 m) blades of grass. The guests, which usually are children four and older, get a sense of what it would be like to be shrunk the Electromagic Shrink ray, created by Professor Wayne Szalinski described in the movie mentioned above.

Overview

The playground features monumental movie props and structures from the classic Disney film. The soft play surface used for dirt and other objects is the same that is used in the Boneyard Playground in the DinoLand USA section at Disney's Animal Kingdom. The playground features scenes from the movie, but also includes areas that weren't explored in the film. This includes:

  • Large, rideable ants
  • Explorable Convoluted anthills
  • A spider web/maze with climbing ropes
  • A slide made to look like a canister of Kodak film
  • A giant dog, modeled after Quark, that sprays mist
  • 52-foot-long (16 m) leaking water hose that sprays
  • 40-foot-tall (12 m) bumblebees
  • Jumbo plant-root mazes
