Iddaru Ammayilu (Telugu: ఇద్దరు అమ్మాయిలు) is a 1972 Telugu Drama film written and directed by S. R. Puttanna Kanagal. It is the remake of 1969 Kannada film Kappu Bilupu starring Kalpana.
Vanisree played the duel-role of Chandra and Bhanu very effectively opposite Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Shobhan Babu. This film was also remaked in Tamil as "Irulum Oliyum" starring Vanisree, A. V. M. Rajan and Muthuraman in lead roles.
The plot
Lawyer Narayana Rao (SVR) has one daughter Bhanu (Vanisri). She is very modern thinking and arrogant. His brother Ramanujam (Gummadi) has one daughter Chandra (Vanisri). Chandra is hard working, homely and faces lost of problems with her mother Sundaramma (Suryakantham). Madhusudhana Rao (ANR) is meritorious student and taken up Agriculture as profession and successful. His friend Sriram (Shobhan Babu) doing Ph.D. with his financial assistance. His father Laxman Rao (Nagaiah) wanted to marry him with Bhanu. Bhanu initially teases Sriram and finally in love with him. How this double love story goes on is to be seen.
