Inzhavinsky District (Russian: Инжа́винский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[3] district (raion), one of the twenty-three in Tambov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the east of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,820 square kilometers (700 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Inzhavino.[1] Population: 23,184 (2010 Census);[4] 27,843 (2002 Census);[7] 33,964 (1989 Census).[8] The population of Inzhavino accounts for 41.4% of the district's total population.[4]
