Irwin Thomas (born 6 January 1971) is an Australian singer-songwriter and guitarist. He was formerly billed as Jack Jones when he was the lead vocalist in the 1990s Australian band Southern Sons, originally known as "The State". Jones toured with John Farnham as lead guitarist during his Chain Reaction concert tour in 1990 and 1991, and was also featured on the album of the same name

Thomas was born in Manhattan, New York City. His, father Jack Goode, born Irwin Thomas Whittridge (1908-1971), was a Hollywood film actor and Broadway performer, and his mother was a folk singer and dancer. Thomas immigrated to Australia when he was 10.

After his tenure with Southern Sons, he reverted to his birth name of Irwin Thomas in 2000, working with Ahmet Zappa in Los Angeles, and with Garry Beers of INXS. He has released music as a solo artist, first for BMG and then as an independent artist, with The Evolution of Irwin Thomas appearing in 2002. Since 2004 he has also been involved with Melbourne band Electric Mary, and he is also in a band called She Said Yes, led by Tania Doko, the former lead singer of Bachelor Girl.[citation needed].

Thomas was married to New Zealand-born Australian actress Rebecca Gibney from 1992 to 1995.
