Jayaprabha

Jayaprabha (born 1957) is an Indian poet and feminist, writing in Telugu.

She gained her Ph.D. on modern Telugu drama from Osmania University in 1991.[citation needed]

She has published seven volumes of poetry and also several texts of literary criticism. A selection of love poems has been translated into English by P. V. Narasimha Rao, former Prime Minister of India[1] in the volume Unforeseen Affection (Penguin, 2005).[2] Her poetry has also widely anthologized, both in Telugu and in English.
