Jeffrey "Jeff" Rowe is an American film director, writer and animator. He is known for his work as a writer on Gravity Falls and Disenchantment. He is also known for co-directing and co-writing the 2021 film The Mitchells vs. the Machines.

Early life and education

Rowe grew up in Chicago, Illinois. He attended the California Institute of the Arts and graduated in 2011.[1]

Career

Rowe briefly worked at Film Roman, Bento Box Entertainment, and Rubicon Group Holding, before serving as a writer on the Disney Channel series Gravity Falls.[2]

He also wrote for the Matt Groening Netflix series, Disenchantment.[3]

In 2021 Rowe co-wrote and co-directed The Mitchells vs. the Machines along with Mike Rianda. The film was released on Netflix on April 30, 2021.

Rowe is set to make his solo directorial debut on an untitled CGI animated reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, with Brendan O'Brien writing the screenplay and Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and James Weaver producing via their Point Grey Pictures production company.[4]
