Johan Bellemans

Johan Bellemans is a Belgian physician who became known for the discovery of the anterolateral ligament.[1] He discovered it along with Steven Claes[2] in 2013, after a 134-year period of study for a missing part.[3][4][5] Currently he works as a professor of orthopedic surgery in both Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and UZ Leuven.[6]
