John "Brooms" Abramovic Jr. (born February 9, 1919 – June 9, 2000) was an American professional basketball player of Croatian origin[1] who played in the National Basketball Association.
He played basketball at Salem College (now Salem International University) in Salem, West Virginia before going on to play for three different NBA teams (and one NBL team) in the mid-1940s.
John is a member of the 1984 Salem University Hall of Fame class.
He led men's college basketball in scoring for two straight years (1941–42 and 1942–43).
