José Eduardo de Araújo or simply Zé Eduardo (born 16 August 1991 in Uberaba, Brazil), is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Virtus Lanciano on loan from Cesena. He can also play at full-back or on either wing, but sees central midfield as his strongest position.[2]

Career

Ze Eduardo began his career in 2003 with Cruzeiro Esporte Clube[3] Zé Eduardo made his debut on the last match of 2008 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, replaced Henrique in the last minutes.

Zé Eduardo joined in August 2009 to Associação Maga Esporte Clube (which de facto an investing company[4]) for €500,000[4] and signed a 5-year contract.[5] Maga holds 75% of the transfer rights on him and Cruzeiro holds another 25%[4][6] On 31 August 2009 he was loaned to AFC Ajax.[7][8] On 9 June 2010 Ajax pulled not the sold option and he moved back to Associação Maga Esporte Clube.[9]

In July 2010, he joined Italian Serie A side Parma on loan from Maga for €500,000[10] and was called up to pre-season camp.[11] He was a member of its youth team, in although awarded no.22 of the first team. He played in 2011 Torneo di Viareggio. In July 2012, he joined Italian Serie B side Padova on loan from Parma In August 2013, he moves to OFI Crete on loan.

International career

Ze Eduardo is also former Brazil U-19 member and played currently for the Brazil national under-20 football team.[12] Dudu was formerly member of the U-16 of his homeland Brazil.[13]

Personal life

Zé Eduardo was born in Uberaba and stayed in Uberaba for 14 years, Brazil.[14]
