Kolangal (Tamil: கோலங்கள்) is an Indian Tamil-language soap opera on Sun TV. It is a Prime time serial. The show premiered on 29 May 2003. It aired Monday through Friday at 9:00PM. The show stars by Devayani, Nalini, Chandra Lakshman, Deepa Venkat, Poornima Indrajith, Abhishek, V. Thiruselvam, Ajay, Yugendran and Kuyili.

The show is produced by Vikatan Televistas director by V. Thiruselvam. The title track was composed by D. Imman and sung by Harini. The show last aired on 4 December 2009 and ended with 1533 episodes.[citation needed] It was also airs in Tamil on Sri Lanka's Shakthi TV and United Kingdom's Tharisanam TV. It holds the record for the longest running Tamil serial.

Plot

Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found. The story centers on Abhi, a hard working, ambitious woman with strong beliefs. and her business rival and half brother, Aditya.[1]

The series was broadcast in Malaysia on Sun TV. In the United Kingdom Kolangal aired on Tharisanam TV and Global Tamil Vision. In the Indian state of Kerala, the series was dubbed in Malayalam and renamed Kolangal. It aired on Surya TV. In the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, the series was dubbed in Telugu and renamed Muthyala Muggu. It was broadcast on Gemini TV.

Remake

The series has been remade into in Kannada language as Rangoli broadcast on Udaya TV and Hindi language as Maayke Se Bandhi Dor broadcast on STAR Plus.[6]
