Kris Niklison

Kris Niklison is an International and multidisciplinary artist.

She started as an actress and developed into a creator, director, choreographer and filmmaker. She was many years based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands where she founded the Kris Niklison Theatre Company. She lived also in Hamburg (Germany) where she was the leading actress at Cirque du Soleil's Pomp Duck and Circumstances, and in Embu das Artes (Brazil) where she built her working space Casa das Artes.[1]

Her theatre shows M/F, Red Roses Red, Dilemma, The Neverlands and Se dice de mi, have travelled the world being presented in Festivals and Theatres such as: Oerol (NL), Karavaan (NL), Parade (NL), Over 't ij (NL), Bellevue (NL), Frascati (NL), Cairo International Theatre Festival (Egypt), Fitaz (Bolivia), Sesc (Brazil), Amman International Theatre Festival (Jordan),[2] Baltic House (St Petersburg), Tunis International Theatre Festival (Tunisia), etc.

In Argentina, her homeland, she has won the Best Argentinean Feature Film prize at the 23 Mar del Plata Film Festival with her opera prima, the film Diletante, that portrays the old age of her mother Bela Jordan.[3]
