After much discussion Ekta Kapoor finalized that the film's title would be as quirky as the concept of the film and it was titled Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi. The film's quirky title has been chosen through a survey by the youth of Delhi. While deciding on its title, the makers took inputs from Delhi students from various colleges. "We zeroed in on the word 'jhand', which is very popular in the city. The word describes the hilarious crisis situation that the actor is in," Bejoy Nambiar said in a statement.

Controversy

A resident of Bhopal, NL Mathur has filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) against Balaji Motion Pictures, claiming that the film's title has hurt sentiments of the Kayastha community. In his petition, Mathur claims that the word ‘Jhand’ is derogatory and it will hurt the sentiments of Mathurs from the Kayastha community. Further the complainant has also asked the filmmakers to change name of the film or remove the offensive word from the title. However, Tanuj Garg, CEO of Balaji Motion Pictures, states that they have received no such PIL, further adding that the film’s title relates to normal and standard nomenclature used in the country.

Music

Composer and singer Anu Malik, who is known for his unique voice, has sung a rather wild and crazy club number for Balaji Telefilms and Getaway Films next, Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi. Although Malik hasn’t composed the soundtrack of the film, the makers were keen to get him board for the Tarzan song. Malik adds, "I got a call from Balaji and I thought that they want me to compose a track for their project. When I reached their office, I was informed that since my voice is very unique and is liked by several fans, they wanted me to sing this really energetic dance number." During the meeting, Parichay, the composer of this track, played the tune, which Malik thought was extremely catchy but he was a little skeptical since it was in a high octave. "I had to say yes in a short notice but I didn’t know if my voice would go well with the song. Ultimately, when I said yes, we recorded the song the very next day and I realised that the beats are infectious. The club style rhythm is massy and will definitely connect with the audience. In fact, they also made me do the Tarzan call and a rap, which took some time, but we nailed it," said Malik, who will also make an small appearance in the song. It was Parichay who decided to rope in Malik’s daughter, Anmol, for the female verses. Malik confessed that although there were just a few lines reserved for the female singer, Anmol’s skills impressed everyone and Parichay worked around the composition to add more lines for her. "For a father and an artist, it is a huge compliment," quipped Malik.
