Léon Harmel (17 February 1829 – 25 November 1915) was a French industrialist. He was Pope Leo XIII's chamberlain and experimented with the social doctrine of the Church, which Pope Leo XIII had initiated, in his silk mill at Val-des-Bois in the commune of Warmeriville, in the Marne department, on the border between the departments of the Marne and the Ardennes.
