Li Guangyu (Chinese: 利光宇; pinyin: Lì Guāngyǔ; born July 14, 1990) is a Chinese Australian actor.
Early life
Li was born in China and moved to Sydney, Australia at the age of 2. He won the lead role in his school musical when he was 8 years old. He attended Sydney Grammar School, and graduated from St Andrew's Cathedral School in 2007. He is currently completing his tertiary education at the University of Sydney and is studying a Bachelor of Commerce (liberal studies).
Career
In his senior year of high school, he was offered the role of Shi-Kai in The Children of Huang Shi. His performance in the film generally won praise.[1] He originally won the role after an audition that was merely practice, but something he had been meaning to attempt for a long time.[2] After his first film he stated that he intended to continue his work in acting.[3]
In 2009, Li appeared an Australian production called The Combination, playing the role of Nipper, a teenage member of a Lebanese Australian gang.[4]
