Jarod becomes an attorney after discovering a rather recent rescue simulation of his has been exploited by Mr. Lyle, and used in the kidnapping of a witness against a Yakuza member who killed her son. Mr. Lyle becomes a Yakuza target and disappears from the Centre.

Jarod becomes a race-car driver to learn about a crash that injured another racer. Jacob is awakened from his coma but is dying. Before passing, Jacob gives Sydney a paper reading "GENE" in reference to Jarod, and it is revealed it was Sydney who had shot at Mr. Raines.

Jarod becomes an escort, uncovers a wealthy woman's past, learns the truth about a boy's death, and reconnects an estranged couple.

Jarod becomes a counterfeiter working with the mob in order to learn the facts about an FBI agent's murder. Mr. Lyle robs and murders at a Centre office and Miss Parker must become a "cleaner" again; she eventually shoots Mr. Lyle into a river.

Jarod miscalculates a pretend and is assaulted and left to die. He is rescued by an unstable con artist but develops amnesia while recovering. Miss Parker, Broots, and Sydney also undergo heavy questioning by the Centre. When Jarod's rescuer tips off the Centre to his location, Brigitte and her team go to capture him, but are foiled when Jarod regains his memory.

Jarod becomes a SWAT officer and tries to find a lieutenant's killer. Sydney is reconnected with a woman he was once in love with and the son he never knew he had.

Jarod becomes an NTSB investigator after discovering the young man he gave his ticket to died in a crash on the flight he was supposed to be on. Jarod takes the place of a millionaire whose son has been kidnapped and subsequently remembers his own kidnapping. He is shortly captured by Miss Parker, but in-fighting between her team and Mr. Raines' lets him get away. Guest Starring Miguel Sandoval, Scott Jaeck, Francis Guinan, and David Anthony Higgins.
41 19 "Red Rock Jarod" Fred K. Keller Tommy Thompson May 2, 1998 (1998-05-02)
Jarod is led to a town in Arizona and is turned over to the still-living Mr. Lyle by two police officers- a man whose wife Mr. Lyle has buried alive in the desert and a woman whose son needs a heart transplant. Kyle is also revealed alive and the brothers rescue the buried women, but Kyle takes a bullet for Jarod and is killed. His heart is given to the young man. Guest Starring Jamie Denton, Jeffrey Donovan, John Diehl, and Connie Ray.

Jarod and Miss Parker become hostages in a bank robbery, and among the other customers is Mr. Fenigor, who gives the two information about their pasts.

Jarod discovers something in a person's genes can predispose them to be a Pretender, and tries to prevent Mr. Raines from taking a boy to be trained to replace him. Sydney devises a treatment for Angelo that returns his mind, but removes his empathy/Pretender abilities.

Jarod tries to protect and heal the kidnapped boy, but when the serum designed to undo the damage to the boy's mind is smashed, Angelo willingly gives his last treatment instead, and Angelo begins to regress to his former self. Miss Parker discovers that she has a twin brother- and it is either Angelo or Mr. Lyle. Sydney plants a bomb in SL-27, but his plan to destroy it backfires when Jarod infiltrates the Centre and is chased down there.

Broots is targeted for knowing too much when information on some of Jarod's old simulations is stolen and wrongly used. He must team up with Jarod to stop an ex-operative who had a lot to do with Jarod's eventual escape. Jarod ends up shooting and killing the man.
