Maxim Rakov (born 7 February 1986) is a Kazakh judoka.

Rakov won the 2009 World Championship in the men's half-heavyweight (-100 kg) division, beating Henk Grol in the final.[1] He won the silver medal at the 2011 World Championships, losing to Tagir Khaybulaev in the final.[2]

Previously, he had competed in the middleweight (-90 kg) category in which he won the silver medal at the 2006 Asian Games, having lost the final match to Hwang Hee-Tae of South Korea.

He currently resides in Karaganda.
