Milton-Union High School is a public high school in West Milton, Ohio. The schools name is derived from the town in which the school lies (West Milton), and the township of which it serves (Union Township). It is the only high school in the Milton-Union Exempted Village Schools district. Their mascot is a bulldog.

The school met all twelve indicators on the 2009-2010 Ohio Department of Education report card, earning an 'Excellent' rating.

History

The Milton-Union Exempted Village School District was formed in 1936 when the Milton Village District and Union Township District merged. The former building was erected in 1938 and has been renovated and added to many times during its existence.

Voters recently approved a measure to build a new K-12 building. The Old High School, elementary and junior high have be demolished. The new building has been built and is in use currently.

The district is also one of the few in the Dayton area to be served by only one each an elementary, junior high, and high school.

Athletics

Milton-Union competes in the Southwestern Buckeye League (S.W.B.L.) in the Buckeye division as of the 2010-2011 school year. Prior the Bulldogs were a member of the Southwestern Division of the S.W.B.L. Milton-Union has been a member of two leagues in its history, The Southwestern Buckeye League (originally named the Little Western Buckeye League) from 1940–1981 and the Southwestern Rivers Conference from 1982-2000. Milton-Union rejoined the Southwestern Buckeye League in 2001. West Milton High School (predecessor to Milton-Union) never competed in a league.

The Bulldogs hold the most S.W.B.L. football titles with eighteen: 1948, 1952, 1954, 1959, 1960, 1962, 1966, 1969, 1971, 1972, 1975, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1981, 2006, 2007, 2012. They also hold a title in the Southwestern Rivers Conference in 1982. All titles were won as Milton-Union High School. Milton-Union has competed in the OHSAA Football Playoffs in 2002, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2011, 2012 making it to the Region 14 championship game in 2006 and the Region 16 championship game in 2012.

Milton-Union was named the second winningest high school football program in the Miami Valley for the decade of the 1970s by the Dayton Daily News and Journal Herald.
