Mladen Palac (born 18 February 1971, Donji Mamići, Bosnia and Herzegovina) is a Croatian chess Grandmaster (1993) and FIDE Trainer (2005).

He won the Croatian Chess Championship in 2001 and 2004. In 1998 he won the Biel chess tournament. In 2002, Palac tied for 1st–5th with Dražen Sermek, Zdenko Kozul, Vladimir Burmakin and Ognjen Cvitan in the Casino HIT NG Open in Nova Gorica.[1] He took 3rd place in the European Blitz Championship of 2006.

Palac played for Croatia in the Chess Olympiads of 1996, 2006, 2008 and 2010.[2] On the March 2011 FIDE list his Elo rating is 2586.
