NGC 6293 is a globular cluster located in the constellation Ophiuchus. It is designated as IV in the galaxy morphological classification scheme and was discovered by the American astronomer Lewis A. Swift on 08 July 1885. It is at a distance of 28,700 light years away from earth. [1][2][3][4][5]
