Nadigan (English: Actor) is a 1990 Tamil film directed by P Vasu. The film stars Sathyaraj in the lead role pairing with Kushboo Sundar.[2] The film released with largely positive reviews and was declared a blockbuster. The film was a remake of Hindi film Professor (1962).

Malayalam actors Prathapachandran and Ramu played the villains.

Plot

The story opens as Raja's sathyaraj mother requires an major operation to be done. But due to poverty, raja decides to look for an job in ooty. while travelling in train with his mother to ooty, he meets Mr.Devaraj Venniradai Moorthy who is actually an music teacher travelling to island estate - ooty for a 3000 monthly waged job. He carries with him a recommendation letter with contact address. while alighting the suitcases which resembles same of raja and devaraj, interchanges. so mistake raja takes away the suitacase. when reaching their room, he finds the letter and due to the critical situation of his mother, he decides to take the job.

So he joins the job, preliminary changing him as oldman by sticking beard and white hair. There he finds Baby amma Manorama who was guardian of two young women and two children. He was put in to look after them as a guardian and teacher. Mean

Critical Reception

The film received great accolades with Sathyaraj's acting admired. The film ran more than 175 days in Chennai and 100 days across major cities in Tamil Nadu. It was a Box-Office blockbuster.
