Filming occurred during spring of 2015. On Day 17, his tribe merged into the all-inclusive Dara tribe. He finished 11th and was sent to the jury after being medically evacuated due to an infection in his knee. On Day 38, eventual winner Michele Fitzgerald won an advantage that gave her the power to remove one player from the jury. At that night's Tribal Council, she used her advantage to eliminate Gottlieb, meaning that he would not be present for the Final Tribal Council and would not get to cast a vote for any of the three finalists.
