Background
Neptune Towers' stated goal was "to enable the listeners to keep both feet off the ground."[citation needed] Fenriz credited Klaus Schulze of Tangerine Dream as a big inspiration.[citation needed] In an interview, Fenriz said he was influenced by Kraftwerk, which can be heard in the use of elaborate sequencers in Transmissions from Empire Algol.[citation needed] Neptune Towers' music was characterized by a slow-paced, minimalistic atmosphere.[citation needed]
