Global News Hour at 6 (also known as Global News at 6 and Global News at 5:30) is the name of local newscast that airs on Global, each city has a different edition of the program.[1][2] The show debuted in 1974. News Hour airs in Vancouver, Kelowna, Penticton, Vernon, Thompson, Edmonton, Calgary, Regina, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Toronto, Paris, London, Ottawa, Montreal, Lethbridge, Red Deer and in the Maritimes.[2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12] On Global BC, Global Edmonton, and Global Calgary, a 5PM newscast known as Global News at 5 (previously Early News) airs before Global National.

Global News Hour at 6 on Global BC airs at 6 pm every weeknight. Global News Hour at 6 is co-hosted by Chris Gailus and Sophie Lui with Mark Madryga as meteorologist and Squire Barnes as sports host.[13] Global News at 5 is hosted by Robin Stickley.

Global Okanagan airs an hour-long program know as Global News at 5 (previously CHBC News at 5) as their flagship news program. CHBC also has a program called Global News at 6:30 which airs after Global National. Global News at 5:30 is anchored by Rick Webber with Wesla Wong on weather. Global News at 6:30 is anchored by Doris Maria Bregolisse.[14]
