Nishi-Kyōgoku Station (西京極駅 Nishi-Kyōgoku-eki?) is a train station on the Hankyu Railway Kyoto Line located in Ukyo-ku, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. The station opened on November 1, 1928.[2]

It is close to the Nishikyogoku Athletic Stadium and other sports facilities.

Layout

The station has two side platforms serving a track each.

north side  Kyoto Line for Kawaramachi and Karasuma
south side  Kyoto Line for Osaka (Umeda, Tengachaya), Kita-Senri, Kobe, and Takarazuka

Usage

In fiscal 2012 (April 2012 to March 2013), about 3,273,000 passengers started travel from this station annually. For historical data, see the table below.[3]
