Ocean Diamond is a cruise ship operated by Quark Expeditions. She was previously named Song of Flower, Explorer Starship and Le Diamant.

In late 2011, Compagnie du Ponant sold the ship to investors who transferred the ship to Quark Expeditions. Quark has operated the ship as the Ocean Diamond since November 2012.[3]

Facilities

Ocean Diamond has one restaurant.[4] Other features on board include a Massage & Wellness Program, which include yoga classes, massage thearapy and aromatherapy treatments, the Polar library, a bar and a lecture theatre. All cabins on the ship have exterior views.[5][6]

In addition to her lifeboats, Ocean Diamond carries a tender on davits across her stern.

Expert in Residence program

Ocean Diamond features the Expert in Residence program, which will let scientists, polar researchers, historians and other experts to undertake field work from the ship. The experts include Jonathan Shackleton, Falcon Scott, and Sue Flood. Passengers are allowed to assist the experts in their work.[7]
