Penn Township is one of thirteen townships in Parke County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 810 and it contained 368 housing units.[1]

History

Penn Township was organized in 1854, and was originally built up chiefly by Quakers.[2]

Geography

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 23.78 square miles (61.6 km2), of which 23.73 square miles (61.5 km2) (or 99.79%) is land and 0.05 square miles (0.13 km2) (or 0.21%) is water.[1] The township includes the southwest quarter of Turkey Run State Park.
