It is a station of Konkoly Observatory, first built in 1958. It has the IAU codes 461 and 561 for the Szeged University and Konkoly Observatory, respectively. The minor planet 37432 Piszkéstető is named after the station, where it was discovered in 2002.[1]
The observatory features four telescopes:[2]
