Porto Cheli Airport (IATA: PKH, ICAO: LGHL) is a private airport located near Porto Cheli, Argolis, Greece. It belongs to company T. Alexiou S.A. and it has ceased operations since 2008.
History
The airport mainly operated during the 60's and 70's. It belonged to businessman Tasos Alexiou. During Greek military junta, there was interest in construction a new airport closer to Porto Cheli, but it was never realised due to scandalous compensations that were given.[1] In 2004, HCAA closed the airport due to maintenace issues and in 2008 the airport certificate was not renewed, thus closing the airport indefenately.
