Professional Roughstock Series
The Professional Roughstock Series (PRS) is an American rodeo organization based in Belle Fourche, South Dakota, USA. It features American rodeo's three "roughstock" events: bareback riding, saddle bronc riding and bull riding.

History
The organization was founded in 2001. Though in its earliest years it was composed of a few annual stand-alone events, it was eventually formed into a formal sporting league. 12 bareback riders, 12 saddle bronc riders and 12 bull riders are included in each event. They each pay an entry fee to compete. All competitors compete in the first round. the top 4 riders in each category then move on to the championship round to determine the event champions with the two highest scores.
There are a handful of PRS events every year throughout the United States, including the annual world finals. Though still relatively new, the organization is growing every year.
When the regular season ends, the top 12 riders in each event based on points qualify for the PRS world finals. The top riders based on overall points for the year are crowned the PRS world champions. The first world finals event took place in 2012 in Salina, Kansas. The second world finals took place in Rapid City, South Dakota. The third world finals will also take place in Rapid City. The world finals is a two-day event.
The PRS has been broadcast on RFD-TV since 2013.
