Richard Nicholls

Richard William Nicholls (23 July 1875, in Crouch End, Middlesex, England – 22 January 1948, in Eastbourne, Sussex, England) was an English cricketer.

Nicholls was a right-handed batsman who represented MCC (1896–1903), Middlesex (1896–1904), AJ Webbe's XI (1899), PF Warner's XI (1903), the Gentlemen of England (1904). He scored 1,732 runs (average 16.81) in 72 first-class matches. He and Mickey Roche set a county record tenth wicket stand of 230 versus Kent at Lord's in 1899, during which he made his maiden century scoring 154.

He also represented Rugby (1892–1893), Middlesex 2nd XI (1894–1896), Ishmaelites (1896) and MCC (1906).
