Robert (Bob) Gaussen is a former Produce and Grocery Industry Ombudsman appointed by the Australian Government.[1] He served under contract to the Government for five and a half years.[2]

While studying Arts and Law at Sydney University, Bob Gaussen was elected President of the University of Sydney Union and member of the University of Sydney Senate.

In 1990, Bob was appointed by the NSW Premier as senior adviser on workplace relations with particular regard to implementing new workplace relations policies and advising on the people portfolios: education, prisons, police and health. These duties extended to oversight of the government’s reform agenda arising from recommendations of the Royal Commission into the NSW building and construction industry and intervening on behalf of the State in major private sector disputes.

Bob has advised governments in NSW, Queensland, Victoria, ACT, South Australia, Singapore and Malaysia on the introduction of Security of Payment legislation for the building and construction and other industries.[3]

He is currently the Managing Director of Adjudicate Today,[4] and Review Today.[5]
