Roger Simpson is an English professional rugby league footballer of the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s playing at representative level for England, and at club level for Bradford Northern and Batley Bulldogs, as a Fullback, i.e. number 1.

Playing career

Roger Simpson won a cap for England in 1995 against France (sub) while at Bradford Northern.^[1]

Roger Simpson played Centre, i.e. number 4, in Bradford Northern's 12-12 draw with Castleford in the 1987 Yorkshire Cup final during the 1987–88 season at Headingley Stadium, Leeds on Saturday Saturday 17 October 1987, played Left-Wing, i.e. number 5, in the 11-2 victory over Castleford in the 1987 Yorkshire Cup final replay during the 1987–88 season at Elland Road, Leeds on Saturday Saturday 31 October 1987, and played Centre, i.e. number 4, in the 20-14 victory over Featherstone Rovers in the 1989 Yorkshire Cup final during the 1989–90 season at Headingley Stadium, Leeds on Saturday Sunday 5 November 1989.

Roger Simpson played Centre, i.e. number 4, in Bradford Northern's 2-12 defeat by Warrington in the 1990–91 Regal Trophy final during the 1990–91 season at Headingley Stadium, Leeds on Saturday 12 January 1991, and played Left-Wing, i.e. number 5, in the 15-8 defeat by Wigan in the 1992–93 Regal Trophy final during the 1992–93 season at Elland Road, Leeds on Saturday 23 January 1993.^[2]
