Rolf Prima Wheel Systems is an American manufacturer based in Eugene, Oregon, USA and hand-builds premium cycling wheels for all types of cycling – road, mountain, triathlon, cyclocross, gravel and adventure, track and tandem.[1]

History

The Paired Spoke design was first established in 1997 by founder Rolf Dietrich, when he brought this technology to Trek Bicycles. The first wheel brought to market with the Paired Spoke Technology was the famously known Rolf Vector Pro.[2] In 2001, the five-year partnership with Trek Bicycles building the wheels under the Rolf name ended and Dietrich, along with three other partners, moved to Eugene, Oregon where they established Rolf Prima.[3] Rolf Prima is known today for their innovative technology that first came to market in the Vigor [4] and Elan [5] wheel models. They have expanded their model options over the years to include triathlon wheels, tandem wheels, cyclocross, gravel and adventure options, mountain and track specific models. In 2013, Rolf Prima began the process of manufacturing alloy rims in-house, in the US. Rolf Prima hand-builds every wheel in their Eugene, Oregon facility and has a focus to bring more manufacturing to the US.
