Sangrasi is a name of Sindhi tribe in Sindh Pakistan.

Demography

Sangrasi are scattered throughout Sindh with the majority population residing in the four districts of Sindh namely Sanghar and Tharparkar Matiari and Naushahroferoze. Most of this tribe are primarily involved in agriculture and also are well educated. sangrasi is 'samat' pure sindhi speaking caste and also their mother tongue is literary sindhi. Anciently sangrasis belong to Sodha and Thakur communitites of sindh. There are 28 villages of sangrasi in Chachro taluka of Tharparkar. 8 villages in Sanghar out of which 6 in perumal taluka Khipro and one in jam nawaz ali and one in shahdadpur. 6 villages in Hala District Matiari and two Villages in Taluka, Moro District Naushahroferoze. Prominent personalaties of sangrasi caste were Muhammad Dawood sangrasi (Bhit shah) Haji Deen Muhammad Sangrasi( Perumal), Moulvi Jalaldin Sangrasi (Dhaklo Taluka chachro ), Haji Ahmad Sangrasi (Khandu), Dhadho Mannu Sangrasi And haji Allah Dinu Ex-DC (Sangrasiabad), Abdullah khan Sangrasi (Berani). The prominent personalities of Sangrasi Ittehad are Haji Muhammad shahan, Abdul Wahid, abdul Kareem, Nooruddin, Haji Mureed Akbar, Haji Rasheed Ahmad Dr. Ahmad Khan Sangrasi, Sahib Ali, Moulvi Ali Muhammad, Nabi bux, Haji Munawar, Muhammad Esa, Muhammad Ishaq. Abdul Razaque Sangrasi (Bhit Shah) is elected Member of District Counsel at Matiari District (2015-2019).
