The length of the bridge is 1,224 feet (373 m). The bridge was first built in 1954 and has been replaced around the summer of 1999 along with the Diamond Run Viaduct in order to accommodate future travel needs.[1] The bridge was improved with a $34.5 million budget.[2] The bridge was widened as part of the general turnpike widening project that took place between the Norristown and Valley Forge exits.[3]
