At that time, Antonio Pedroso Malachi, one of the joint owners of the farm Sertãozinho, built his homestead, making donation of 12 acres (49,000 m2) and a half of land around Vila Nossa Senhora Aparecida, named after the patroness saint of Brazil, Lady Aparecida. A chapel in honor of Saint Mary, invoked under that name, was built on 21 de Abril Plaza. With other donations that have joined the Malachi of Antonio Pedroso, equity reached 148 acres (0.60 km2). The lands of Finance Sertãozinho, whose ownership was effective for nearly a century, the backland Antonio Jose Rodrigues, Manoel Jacinto Bridge and the African Father Chico, only began to be divided among the tenants after Malachi built the chapel. The core of the village was elevated to District of Peace on 10 March 1885, by Law No. 31, with the name of the Town of Ali Sertãozinho the city by Law No. 463 of 5 December 1896, having been installed on April 21, 1897.

On October 26, 1906, by Law No. 1018, the District was created, and the installation took place on 12 December of that year. Dr. Renato Silveira da Motta was then the first judge, ruling the local region courts, as well as Sertãozinho. The first name was Capela de Sertãozinho, after that, Engenho de Nossa Senhora Aparecida do Sertaozinho, Aparecida de Sertãozinho, and finally, Sertãozinho.
