Shawn Willis Riggans (born July 25, 1980) is a former professional baseball catcher.

Career

Riggans was drafted by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the 24th round of the 2000 Major League Baseball Draft. He played nine games for the Devil Rays in 2006, including eight appearances as catcher and one as a pinch hitter. In 2008, Riggans became the backup catcher for the Rays, behind Dioner Navarro. Riggans was not offered a contract to return in 2010. He was later signed to a minor league contract with the New York Mets but was released after four games. Following his release, Riggans played for the New Jersey Jackals of the independent Can-Am League. In December 2010, he signed a minor league contract with the Milwaukee Brewers that included an invitation to spring training in 2011.
