Sheryl Dayana Rubio Rojas (born 28 December 1992) is an Venezuelan singer-songwriter, actress, model and fashion designer, who gained popularity for her debut role as Sheryl on the Boomerang Latin America original series Somos tú y yo.

Early life

Sheryl Rubio was born in Caracas, Venezuela. Her parents are Damaris Rojas and Juan Pablo Rubio. Her mother succeeded with their office work, although he always had interest in acting. She was raised as a Catholic, the actress confessed to having had a sister, but died when she was small. Rubio is of mixed cultural background, her interest in acting began when she was still very small. Her acting career began at the age of eight. The actress confessed that when attending school was not popular, and even suffered bullying.

Acting career

Sheryl began her acting career at age seven portraying small children in soap operas of the Radio Caracas Televisión, Amantes de Luna Llena, La Soberana and La niña de mis ojos. In 2005 at age 11 he began working on the TV show Atómico. In 2006, Rubio did casting for the series Somos tú y yo. Rubio finally received the paper with his own name Sheryl Sanchez, where she played a 14 year old girl with hopes of becoming a singer. The series was a coproduction between Boomerang Latin America and Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Promotion mode, Rubio made a national tour in Venezuela for songs he sang on the show, he sold all of his tour tickets in record time, including a series of six concerts in Poliedro de Caracas, capable of 15 500 people. The series premiered on 27 June 2007, and its pilot episode was about 5.9 million viewers. The series featured three successful seasons, one of the most successful series of the channel. Somos tú y yo I end 13 November 2008 and its last episode had an audience of about 9.8 viewers, the largest audience for any final episode received a number of Boomerang.

In 2010, it was officially confirmed as the protagonist of the original series of Boomerang Latin America, NPS: No puede ser, a spinoff of Somos tú y yo. The series is a show sitcom format. This also had good reception. The series premiered for the first time 25 July 2010 on the Venevision network. While in Latin America it premiered on 8 November 2010 by the chain Boomerang Latin America, with an audience of 4.3 million viewers. That same year, plays the role of Sofía Carlota Humboldt Calderon in the Venevisión network, soap opera La viuda joven, written by Martín Hahn, was inspired by the life of the Spanish Baroness Carmen Cervera. This project marks the transition from blond to his first mature role in a soap opera. Filming began on 15 November 2010. The telenovela premiered on 16 March 2011 by Venevisión in Venezuela. The fiction was broadcast internationally in several countries in Western Europe.

In 2012, he was confirmed as part of the cast of Mi ex me tiene ganas, in which he plays Stefany Miller. The telenovela was written by Martín Hahn. Filming began on 9 February 2012. The promotional soap opera began dating on 8 April 2012. The telenovela premiered on 16 May 2012 by Venevisión chain. Rubio received a positive reception on the character of the media in Latin America. This character marks her acting growth in a more mature character.

In March 2013, he was chosen by Sandra Rioboó to participate in the soap opera of the Venevisión network, Corazón Esmeralda, where he played Rocio del Alba Salvatierra, shares credit with Irene Esser and Luis Gerónimo Abreu. Filming began on 11 June 2013. The telenovela premiered on 3 March 2014 by Venevisión chain. The soap opera was broadcast internationally in several countries in Latin America and Eastern Europe. In 2014, Sheryl Rubio in collaboration with the brand 'Melao', launches a clothing line designed by herself.
