The Southern Moreton Bay Islands is a suburb on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. It is located at the northern end of the City of Gold Coast local government area. It was gazetted as a bounded locality on 7 Feb 2003 and regazetted on 27 November 2009 due to local government changes.[2]

The suburb is unusual in that it does not have any permanent residents.

The suburbs consists of numerous very low-lying esturarine islands separated by channels in the southern part of Moreton Bay. The islands are mostly covered by mangroves, and a substantial part of the area is inundated by water at high tide.
