"Tariq ibn Ziyad Road" 'or Tariq Road (Urdu: طارق روڈ‎) is located in P.E.C.H Society, Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan in Asia. It is amongst the top shopping locales of Karachi. People from all areas of Karachi shop at Tariq Rd.

There are more than a thousand shops and showrooms in this area, selling jewellery, garments, cosmetics, foods, computers, footwear, etc. Tariq Road is located in the heart of Karachi, and is surrounded by one of the oldest localities of the city: PECHS (Pakistan Employees Cooperative Housing Society). Tariq Road. is most famous for its high-quality garments, especially in menswear. Famous shops include Rabi-center for fabrics. Besides fabrics, Tariq Rd. seems to be a thriving market for the footwear business, with hundreds of shoe-stores lining the road. The city's most popular stores namely, Metro Shoes, English Boot House and Sputnik Footwear, all have a presence on Tariq Road. Tariq Road is also nicknamed "Bahadurabad" by some people.

A mega project by the name of Dolmen Mall Tariq Road was built in early 2000s and houses all major stores in the city as well as a food-court, which encourages families to visit. There are shops and shopping plazas on both sides of the Tariq Road and many new shopping-malls are under-construction.

Parking inconvenience

Car Parking is a serious problem and sometimes it becomes impossible to find any place for car parking specially during Ramadan. A car parking plaza is desperately needed to alleviate this challenge.

Intersections

Tariq Road's most famous intersection is Allah Wali Chowrangi. It was demolished on December 17 2012. It will be remembered by many people. Now it is a regular signal intersection. Most signal intersections have packed traffic jams from afternoon until evening time.
